Recipe Ingredients
- 1 (small) onion
- 1 fresh green chilli
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 3-4 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 120ml tomato juice
- 2-3 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 x 200g pork chops
- 2 tart apples, to garnish
Recipe Instructions
- Dice the onion. Seed and chop the fresh chilli. Mix together the onion, chilli, vegetable oil, sugar, vinegar, tomato juice and Worcestershire sauce.
- Put the chops on a single layer in a dish and pour over the marinade. Set aside in the refrigerator to marinate for about 6 hours.
- Remove the chops from the marinade, drain and pat dry. Grill on the barbecue for about 12-15 minutes on each side, brushing with the marinade from time to time.
- Core and slice the apples crossways. Grill the apple slices on the barbecue for about 3 minutes, brushing them with the marinade frequently. Serve the chops, garnished with the apple slices.
